Inicialmente, com a disponibilidade de cinco leitos de UTI e, nos próximos dias, com mais leitos de enfermarias. A utilização destes leitos se dará, exclusivamente, pelo Sistema de Regulação do Estado.
O diretor geral do Complexo, Francisco Guedes, explica que o suporte a esses pacientes estava sendo dado por outros hospitais da rede estadual de saúde, a exemplo de Pombal, mas, que com o crescimento dos casos da doença, a Secretaria Estadual de Saúde decidiu retomar a assistência também em Patos. “Inicialmente, vamos abrir cinco leitos de UTI Covid e estamos num esforço concentrado no sentido de nos organizarmos para desocupar duas enfermarias com essa finalidade de atender os pacientes com Covid. Os nossos médicos estão mobilizados para ver cada caso e identificar os pacientes com condições de alta para fazer a desospitalização e depois isolar essas enfermarias para o Covid”, explica o diretor, lembrando que os leitos de Covid foram todos ocupados com pacientes não covid após a pandemia dar uma trégua.

Pacientes do Hospital do Bem assistiram a vitória do Brasil enquanto recebiam tratamento contra o câncer

E foi, justamente, se inspirando na importância da terapia do riso e da alegria, que a Oncologista Clínica do Hospital do Bem, unidade de tratamento contra o câncer que integra o Complexo Hospitalar Regional Deputado Janduhy Carneiro de Patos, Dra. Nayarah Xavier colocou em prática a ideia de proporcionar um dia diferente aos pacientes em tratamento na estreia do jogo do Brasil na Copa do Qatar. E, com apoio da direção e da equipe da unidade, nesta terça-feira (24), a rotina do hospital ganhou outra dinâmica e os pacientes puderam vivenciar a experiência de entrar no clima da Copa do Mundo enquanto faziam seus tratamentos e vibrar com a vitória do Brasil de 2×0 contra a Sérvia.
Primeiro foi preparado o ambiente com bandeirolas, bolas nas cores amarelo e verde, bandeiras, e distribuído chapéus e vários outros adereços. Uma TV na sala de quimioterapia e outra na recepção do hospital garantiram a transmissão do jogo que levou a seleção canarinha à vitória com os dois gols de Richarlison marcados no segundo tempo. Um lanche preparado especialmente para a ocasião complementava o clima da torcida organizada do Hospital do Bem.
Um dos pacientes mais animados era o Sr. Geraldo Mathias da Silva, de 69 anos. Morador de Patos e se tratando de num câncer no cólon, ele estava realizando uma de suas sessões de quimioterapia na hora do jogo. Deitado na cama durante o procedimento de infusão, ele não parava de acenar com uma mini bandeira do Brasil a cada lance do time. “Essa ação é digna de parabéns, vocês me deixaram muito feliz e emocionado hoje. Nota 100 para todos vocês”, disse ele sem largar a bandeirinha.
A Assistente Social, Gilvaneide Silva dos Santos, 48 anos, moradora de Santa Luzia, que também estava na sala de quimioterapia fazendo sua sessão na tarde desta terça-feira, também agradeceu a iniciativa. “Desde 2020 descobri o câncer e desde então me trato aqui. O Hospital do Bem está de parabéns por nos dar toda a assistência necessária. A equipe aqui é maravilhosa e hoje vocês nos surpreenderam com essa acolhida mais que especial”, disse ela.
“Hoje foi um dia muito especial para todos os brasileiros. Foi a estreia do Brasil na Copa e, por isso, pensamos nesta ação para poder propiciar um momento lúdico e de descontração para nossos pacientes conciliando o tratamento à paixão nacional que é o futebol e estamos muito felizes pelo sucesso da ação e receptividade de nossos pacientes”, afirmou a Dra. Nayarah Xavier. Ela lembrou a importância de ações deste tipo. “O paciente oncológico enfrenta inúmeros problemas, desde a confirmação do diagnóstico até o tratamento que é bem pesado e oferecer, dentro deste contexto, momentos de descontração como esses, reforçam a acolhida e a humanização do nosso tratamento”, disse a médica, adiantando que como a iniciativa foi um sucesso, a direção do hospital resolveu que irá repetir a mesma ação no dia dos outros jogos do Brasil para beneficiar outros pacientes em tratamento.
“Não deixamos de torcer pelo Brasil e mantemos o serviço em perfeita harmonia e como avaliamos que foi muito positiva a ação vamos repeti-la nos demais jogos do Brasil para que outros pacientes possam vivenciar essa experiência”, reiterou a diretora do Hospital do Bem, Lidiane Nascimento, lembrando que além dos pacientes e acompanhantes, os funcionários que estavam de plantão também foram beneficiados podendo acompanhar o jogo mesmo desenvolvendo suas atividades. Tanto pacientes, quando acompanhantes usaram máscaras o tempo todo. Os funcionários do hospital já usam cotidianamente, desde que o uso de máscaras voltou a ser obrigatório com o Decreto mais recente do Governo do Estado.
